Braintree: Woman nabbed using fake prescriptions

A Newton woman is accused of trying to score Oxycodone by using phony prescriptions at a Braintree pharmacy.

37-year-old Kristen Santangelo was arrested Saturday afternoon after she apparently passed a false prescription at the Rite Aid on Pearl St.

Employees informed responding officers that Santangelo had passed a total of twelve prescriptions for Oxycodone pills over the past several months.

The pharmacy had been looking into Santangelo’s prescriptions and found that they were stolen from a doctor who was not treating Santangelo.

Santangelo will appear in Quincy District Court on Monday.
