Carver: Man arrested following weekend motor vehicle accident

A Carver man was summoned to Wareham District Court today following a motor vehicle accident in Carver on Sunday just before 2:00 a.m.

Early Sunday morning, Carver Police received a 911 call reporting a motor vehicle crash on Barrows Street.

Upon arriving at the scene of the crash, police observed a 1997 Chevy pick up truck that had gone off the road and hit a wooden fence and a tree. The vehicle had been traveling westbound on Purchase Street before turning left on Barrows Street just before the accident.

The driver of the truck, 32 year old Gerard Gregor, Jr. of Carver, was not injured, but was taken into custody charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of intoxicating liquor, operating a motor vehicle so as to endanger, and marked lanes violation.
