The assistant school superintendent in Weymouth says he’ll take the top job in Hanover.

This follows a vote by Hanover School Committee earlier this month to offer the superintendent position to Matthew Ferron.

He could start as soon as July and is now working out contract details.

Ferron tells the Boston Globe that during his five years in Weymouth, he has built relationships between the community and schools, created a unified leadership team, and successfully fought for scarce government funding.
