Hingham: Search continues for Hingham bank robbery suspects

Hingham Police have obtained arrest warrants for a suspect and a female accomplice in connection with the armed robbery of the Rockland Trust Bank on March 29th. The two were tentatively identified after a Weymouth Police Detective and several citizens came forward who recognized the suspect from surveillance photos that were published after the robbery.

Police say, on the afternoon of March 29th, a man entered the Rockland Trust Bank branch in the rear of Lincoln Plaza off Route 3A. He told the teller he had a gun, but did not display a weapon. The teller handed him an undisclosed amount of cash and he left the bank heading north on Route 3-A. He reportedly met his accomplice a short distance away near the 99 Restaurant.

The suspect is identified as 35 year-old Ryan Patrick Lane, whose last known address is in Charlestown. His accomplice is identified as 38 year-old Amy Cole, whose last known address was in Weymouth.

Police say Lane should be considered armed and dangerous. Lane and Cole have been staying in local motels in the Weymouth area.
