Pembroke: Newcomer wins selectmen’s race

Pembroke Chairman of Selectmen Greg Hanley decided to concentrate on his other elective office – County Commissioner and did not run for re-election. Three citizens ran for the open seat: Planning Board Chairman Dan Taylor, former community access TV director John Mattison and political newcomer Michelle Burt. Stressing her Pembroke roots, Burt won.

Burt: 582

Mattisson: 138

Taylor: 385

Selectmen will choose a new chairman Monday night.
