Plympton: Robber steals church safe with raffle tickets inside

A robber recently stole a safe inside the First Congregational Church in Plympton.

The church is raffling a PT Cruiser and so far, 400 raffle tickets have been sold, or $8,000 worth.

Luckily, money from the raffle has been deposited but inside the safe are the stubs of sold tickets.

Bill Gorman, who’s a member of the church, says they’re going forward with the raffle but need to replace sold tickets, “Tickets that’ve already been purchased—the church will honor these. If you have purchased a raffle ticket, please return it to the church either by mail or in person and we’ll see that’s promptly replaced.”

The mailing address of The First Congregational Church is PO Box 147, Plympton MA 02367
