Scituate: Martin O’Toole takes selectman seat

Martin O’Toole, who had run an unsuccessful write-in campaign for selectman last year, has won this year, according to unofficial results on Tuesday night.

The unofficial tally has O’Toole in first place with 1,515 votes, James Gilmore in second place with 1,392 , and in third place former planning board member Ann Burbine with 1,003.

The three were competing for one seat following longtime Selectman Joe Norton’s decision not to run for re-election.
