Wareham: Teen driver could face charges in fatal accident

A pedestrian was struck and killed by a car in Wareham on Friday night.

Police said it happened on Cranberry Highway at approximately 8:00 p.m.

The driver, a 19-year-old, was at the scene when officers arrived, and wasn’t hurt.

Police identified him as Charles Rohrbach IV of Wareham.

The victim, an unidentified man, was pronounced dead at the scene.

An investigation is underway; so far no criminal charges have been filed.
