Norwell: Town Meeting gets underway

At Monday’s Town Meeting, Norwell voters will address an 11 article Special Town Meeting warrant and a 49 article Annual Town Meeting warrant.

Among the articles on the Special Town Meeting warrant is a request for money to help fund blizzard costs from February. There are also several Community Preservation articles including one for the design and engineering of athletic fields.

On the Annual Town meeting warrant, voters will be asked to approve the operating and capital budgets for the next fiscal year and to vote on a question about medical marijuana.

There are also a number of proposed zoning changes and land transfers on the warrant.

Town meeting convenes at 7:30 p.m. at the Norwell Middle School.
