Pembroke: Police respond to shooting on Rt-139, one teenager injured

Pembroke police are asking for the public’s help in their investigation involving a teenager being shot on Route-139 Thursday afternoon.

According to a press release by Pembroke police, officers responded to a report just after 4 p.m. that a teenager walking along Route-139 with two friends was shot by a BB or pellet gun.

The victim is not being identified but police say the victim suffered a wound to the scalp and was treated at a local medical center before being released.

Witnesses told authorities they saw a white or silver pickup truck acting suspicious during the time of the incident.

Police ask that anyone who was in the area of Stop and Shop supermarket and Route-53 during the hours of 4p.m and 6p.m and may have useful information to contact the Pembroke Police Department.
