Brockton: Toddler dies under suspicious circumstances


State authorities are investigating the death of a four-year-old Brockton child over the weekend.
A spokesman for the Plymouth District Attorney’s office says 4-year-old Chauncey Cohen was brought to the hospital at about 8:30 p.m. Sunday by his mother after he became unresponsive while she was bathing him.
When the child died about an hour later, hospital officials alerted police. Police describe the death as “suspicious.”
The case is under investigation by Brockton Police and the Massachusetts State Police.
