Duxbury: Police investigate middle school ‘sexting’

Duxbury police are now involved in an investigation of how many middle school students have sent, received, or passed around text messages with explicit pictures.

According to Duxbury Superintendent Ben Tantillo, “sexting” has become a large distraction at the middle school with female students sending pictures of themselves to male students, who then flaunt the text messages to friends.

Tantillo says it’s hard to tell how many middle school students are involved because most of the messages have been deleted.

Duxbury school officials and police are investigating the incident.
