Hanover: Police officer fired over tanning salon incident

A Hanover police officer has been fired over an unspecified “incident” at a tanning salon.

In a press release Friday, the town said that long-time Police Officer William Bostic has been terminated, effective immediately.

The release states the termination comes after a hearing in response to an “incident and subsequent communications related to an event at the Soleil Tanning Salon in Kingston on April 26”.

The release said that because it is a personnel matter, the town will have no further comment at this time.

Calls to Hanover Town Hall and Hanover Police have not been returned at this time.
