Middleboro: Police searching for woman in connection with B&E

A mystery woman is on the run after an attempted burglary was foiled by a Middleboro cop on his way to court on Monday.

Middleboro Police Chief Bruce D. Gates said officer Richard Harvey spotted a man and woman trying to climb in through a window at a home on Wareham Street on Monday. Harvey captured 25-year-old Phillip Myers of Middleboro, but the woman fled.

Gates said Harvey recognized the woman because she has several outstanding warrants.

A State Police K-9 unit searched the 500 block of Wareham Street but the mystery woman was not captured and there is a warrant out for her arrest. Police are declining to release the mystery woman’s identity pending her arrest.

Myers was charged with a felony of daytime breaking and entering and arraigned at Wareham District Court and bail was set at $300.
