Weymouth: Police investigating death of man found in water

An autopsy is planned for the body of man found in the water in Weymouth Wednesday night.

The body of a middle-aged man was pulled from the water at the end of Saunders street, in the area known as the “back river.”

The call came in around 8 p.m. and Weymouth police on the Harbormaster’s boat pulled the body from the water.

The man’s name is being held pending notification of the family.

An investigation into the man’s death is being conducted by Weymouth detectives and State Police from the Norfolk county D.A’s office.
