Carver: Police traffic stop reveals huge amount of drugs and cash

Two people arrested in Carver during a traffic stop that was anything but routine, will appear in court on Monday.

It all began around 9:30 Friday night, when police stopped a car for speeding.

The driver, 26-year-old Tara Fisher of Wareham, was arrested for giving a false name and having a suspended license.

Her passenger, 28-year-old Florence Raymond of Carver, tried to take off on foot.

It took three officers to subdue him, and pepper spray was used.

Authorities say Raymond had a large amount of heroin and cocaine on him.

More than $23,000 in cash was found during a search of the vehicle.

Carver police say Raymond is well-known to them for carrying weapons.
