According to Plymouth police, a 27-year-old male was fatally injured Tuesday morning during a construction incident at The Pinehills.

Captain John Rogers said the man was not a Plymouth resident and the incident is being jointly investigated by local, state, and federal officials.

The state Department of Public Safety and the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration responded to the construction site on Landmark Drive where a 50-room inn and full-service spa is being built.

A groundbreaking ceremony for the Mirbeau Inn & Spa was held in April and the facility is scheduled to open next spring.
