Plymouth County D.A.: Brockton child’s death does not appear suspicious

The Plymouth County District Attorney’s office says it is investigating the death of an 18-month-old boy in Brockton on Thursday, but that at this point it does not appear suspicious.

D.A. Tim Cruz’s office said in a release that they received a call at around 8:30 a.m. Thursady about a child not breathing. Emergency medical personnel responded and the child was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

The D.A.’s office says that at this point the death does not appear suspicious, but State Police Detectives assigned to the D.A.’s office along with the Brockton police are investigating, and there will be an autopsy to determine the cause.
