Quincy: Pregnant woman unharmed after being dragged by minivan

A woman seven months pregnant is lucky to be alive after she was dragged by a minivan in Quincy.

Police told WATD a call came in at approximately 8:30 p.m. on Friday about some trouble in the driveway of a home on Germain Ave.

The unidentified victim was sitting in the vehicle with a friend having an argument.

Lt. John Kelly said when she tried to leave, the driver, 21-year-old Emalie Bowlen of Quincy backed the vehicle down the driveway, dragging the other woman some 12 feet.

She suffered some abrasions but was otherwise unharmed.

Bowlen is charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
