Pembroke: Arts festival to honor memory of local artist

This year’s Pembroke Art Festival is dedicated to the memory of Brooks Kelly, who was a founder of the event in 1968. Kelly died last October. He was an artist with an instantly recognizable style. In addition to student art under the tent on the town green, a juried art show in the community center, a craft show, entertainment and food, this year’s festival features a special exhibit of Brooks Kelly’s work in the library.

The 46th annual Pembroke Arts Festival runs Saturday and Sunday in Pembroke center.
