Rockland: Suspect in custody linked to more than 100 car breaks

On Friday August 9th, Rockland police received information from Hanover police that they had a young man in custody for a series of car breaks in their town.

The suspect is identified as 18-year-old David Folkins of Rockland.

Based on information gained in the Hanover investigation, Rockland officers
searched Folkins’ apartment on Custer St.

Numerous items reported stolen from vehicles in were seized, including jewelry, electronics, driver’s licenses, and cash.

Rockland police believe Folkins is responsible for 104 car breaks in town.

Folkins was in custody at the Plymouth House of Correction on Sunday afternoon.
