Brockton: Police pursuit following alleged CVS robbery

A police pursuit and shooting happened Monday afternoon in Brockton near the East Bridgewater town line with at least one person transported by ambulance from the scene.
Preliminary reports indicate that the incident began with an attempted robbery of the CVS drugstore in Brockton on Court Street around noon with a shotgun being shown.
The suspect reportedly took off with Brockton Police, aided by the Massachusetts State Police, in pursuit from Brockton to Whitman, then back to Brockton.  It ended on Thatcher Street in Brockton, where there were shots reportedly fired.
The pursuit ended by a junkyard around 12:30 in the afternoon. The shots fired by police are expected to be investigated under the jurisdiction of the Plymouth County District Attorney’s office.
