Duxbury: Possible attempted abduction reported

Police in Duxbury are investigating what they are calling a suspicious event that occurred Sunday around 6:00 p.m. on Buckboard Road.

A nine-year old girl who was walking along the side of the road was approached by a vehicle operated by a white male in his twenties or thirties, who attempted to entice the child into his vehicle by stating he had something for her in the car.

The child then started crying and ran away.

The suspect fled the area in what police say was a small black sedan with round headlights. He was described as having a medium build and was wearing a heavily stained tee shirt and jeans.

Duxbury Police are now appealing to the community for any information on the incident.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Duxbury Police Department at 781-934-5656.

About David Skill

Dave Skill’s radio career began in the fall of 1964 when he arrived on the campus of Holy Cross College in Worcester, MA. Dave barely got his bags unpacked when he paid a visit to WCHC, the campus radio station. And, before he knew it, he was spending so much time as a disc jockey and news writer/reporter, it seemed like he was majoring in “radio” and minoring in academics at “The Cross”. As you might imagine, his grades reflected it! During his junior and senior years, he also worked weekends in news and as a disc jockey at WNEB, the CBS radio affiliate in Worcester at the time.
