Marshfield/Pembroke: Paving of Route 139 to begin

Good weather this week is allowing work to continue on some ongoing road word on a portion of Rt. 139 in Pembroke, leading into Marshfield.

Michael Verseckes of the Mass Department of Transportation says the night work consists of working on traffic signal loops and casting adjustments. That work usually wraps up around 5:30 AM.

Daytime work is also happening this week and includes curbing, wheel chair ramps, and other incidentals.

Paving on this portion of Rt. 139 may begin Thursday night, or it may be delayed until this Sunday night.

This project is not to be confused with the road widening project on a portion of Rt. 139 in Marshfield. The Marshfield portion of the project will likely be paved sometime in October.
