Massachusetts: What’s open and closed on Labor Day

Here’s a list of what’s open and what’s not on Labor Day.

Retail stores, supermarkets, liquor stores, bars, taverns are open today.

The stock market, banks, government offices, schools, libraries and post offices are closed; that means no mail delivery.

There is no Brockton Area Transit or GATRA regional bus service running.

MBTA commuter rail, subways, buses, trolleys, streetcars, the Navy Yard water shuttle, Quincy commuter boats and The Ride are all on Sunday schedules.

There is also no Hingham or Hull commuter boat service on Labor Day.
