Norwell: Investigation continues into fatal crash on Main Street

Norwell Police have not yet released the name of the man killed in a motor vehicle accident on Tuesday morning. However, Police say the man, who was pronounced dead at the scene, was 51 years old and lived in the town of Bedford. He was driving a 2007 Buick Lacrosse.

The other driver, a 47 year-old woman from Marshfield, was driving a 2010 Mercedes Benz. She was taken by ambulance to South Shore Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries she suffered in the crash that happened around 8:45 a.m. just west of Lincoln Street on Main Street, that’s Route 123, in Norwell.

The State Police Accident Reconstruction team is investigating the accident along with Norwell Police.
