Braintree: Man accused of shoplifting, car break-ins

A Braintree man is under arrest, after police say he tried to pass a bad check at Nordstrom’s and then steal a some items from the store. Police then searched 29 year old Patrick Kenney’s car and found items that had recently been reported stolen from a few different car break-ins, including GPS units and an iphone charger.

Police later determined the owner of the checkbook that Kenney allegedly tried to use was a recent victim of a housebreak. Kenney is being charged with larceny, receiving stolen property, and forgery.
