Brockton: Teenage girl killed in single-car crash

A young woman died Wednesday morning after a single vehicle crash in Brockton Tuesday night.

According to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office and Brockton Police Chief Emanuel Gomes, Brockton police received a call of a crash with serious injury on Boundary Street in Brockton at around 8:45 p.m. Tuesday.

At the scene, medical personnel treated people with severe lacerations to their faces and severe trauma to their bodies.

The rear passenger, identified as 19-year-old Kaitlyn Rastellini, was found unconscious with severe trauma to her body. She was taken by med-flight helicopter to a Boston Hospital where she was later pronounced dead.

The operator and front passenger were taken to a local hospital to be treated for their injuries and are expected to survive.

The crash is under investigation by the State Police detectives assigned to the Plymouth County’s D.A.’s office and Brockton Police.
