Hingham: Court deadlines set in Aquarion Water litigation

Hingham selectmen met Thursday night and disclosed a court schedule in regards to pending litigation against the town’s water provider, Aquarion Water Company.

The litigation is to determine the cost of the water company in the event of a take-over bid by the town.

Selectmen Chair Bruce Rabuffo disclosed the deadline dates.

“The schedule requires that written discovery needs to be completed by January 2, 2014. The town is required to disclose its experts and their report by April 15, 2014. So it is important that the town comply with the court deadlines and get the necessary actions completed.”

Hingham has been considering a possible take-over of the Aquarion Water Company.
