Plymouth: Town meeting preview tonight for town meeting members and residents

In Plymouth, there are 15 precincts with a total of 135 elected town meeting members. Those members and the public are invited to a town meeting preview tonight in preparation for fall town meeting. Town Moderator Steven Triffletti hosts the preview providing a summary of the 29 articles on the warrant. “The purpose of the town meeting preview is to provide an overview of the articles that are coming before the town meeting and also any procedural issues that may be important for our elected town meeting representatives to become familiar about.”

But Triffletti cautions this is not a mini-town meeting: “It will not be an opportunity to debate the articles; rather it’s an opportunity to receive information about the motions, the articles and where to go to get more information if people want background or any supporting documents.” A panel of town officials will be present at the preview at Town Hall tonight. It begins at 7:00 p.m., and will be broadcast live by PACTV. Plymouth Town meeting is on October 19th.
