Randolph: Speeding motorcyclist arrested

A Somerst man, 29 year-old Daniel Rebello, is being arraigned today after his arrest this morning, one day after State Police asked the public to call if they saw him riding his yellow and black Suzuki motorcycle at high rates of speed.

State troopers patrolling Route 24 had observed Rebello on the motorcycle, traveling in the breakdown lane at very high rates of speed and changing lanes recklessly. At one point, while traffic was stopped, Rebello reversed direction and witnesses saw him riding southbound in the northbound lane, and also traveling on the median strip. Randolph and Stoughton Police were then notified.

A witness contacted State Police General Headquarters a short time later to report that the motorcycle was stopped in a parking lot just off Route 24 on Route 139, hiding behind a tractor-trailer unit. Randolph Police arrived on-scene and detained the suspect. He was placed in custody and transported to the Milton State Police Barracks.

About David Skill

Dave Skill’s radio career began in the fall of 1964 when he arrived on the campus of Holy Cross College in Worcester, MA. Dave barely got his bags unpacked when he paid a visit to WCHC, the campus radio station. And, before he knew it, he was spending so much time as a disc jockey and news writer/reporter, it seemed like he was majoring in “radio” and minoring in academics at “The Cross”. As you might imagine, his grades reflected it! During his junior and senior years, he also worked weekends in news and as a disc jockey at WNEB, the CBS radio affiliate in Worcester at the time.
