Marshfield: 13 article Special Town Meeting warrant has requests for land purchases and bylaw changes

Tonight, the town of Marshfield is holding a Special Town Meeting.

Among the 13 articles on the warrant is a request for $497,000 that would be used to buy 45.67 acres of land off Holly Road from Scituate Federal Savings Bank. The money would come from Community Preservation funds and from the Water Enterprise Retained Earnings account. The land is located within the town’s Water Resources Protection District. Another article asks for money to buy a parcel of land on Ocean Street for cemetery expansion. A number of other articles are to pay unpaid bills and for bylaw changes.

Town meeting begins at 7:00 p.m.at the Furnace Brook Middle School.
