Rockland: Two suspects arrested on drugs and weapons charges

On Saturday, Rockland
Police responded to a 911 call about a gunshot at 103 Webster St.

The caller reported that someone fired a gun in the second floor apartment and that the bullet exited the outside wall, and entered an adjoining home through a window.

No one was injured.

Officers arriving on-scene detained two people attempting to leave the area.

One of them was carrying a backpack containing two guns and crack cocaine.

More weapons and drugs, as well as $7,000 in cash, were found in the apartment.

Charged are 23-year-old Jose L. Medina of Brockton and 26-year-old Kayla Jorge of Rockland.

They’ll appear in Hingham District Court on Monday.

Police are still investigating the cause of the gunshot.
