UPDATE: Rockland: Two arrested on gun and drug charges

A Rockland woman and a Brockton man are under arrest, facing illegal gun charges and a variety of drug charges, after a gunshot was fired from a Webster Street apartment around 12:30 Saturday afternoon.

Rockland Police say the bullet traveled through a wall in the apartment into a neighboring house where it ended up lodged in a cabinet in the kitchen. Three handguns and a quantity of crack cocaine along with $7,000 in cash were found in the apartment. When officers arrived, they observed three people – one of them carrying a black backpack – trying to leave the area. When the officers searched the backpack, they found two handguns and 37-1/2 grams of crack cocaine. Police then obtained a search warrant for the apartment where they found a third handgun, and more crack cocaine. Under arrest are 26 year-old Kayla Jorge of Brockton and 23 year-old Jose Medina of Brockton. Jorge and Medina were held without bail awaiting their arraignment today in Hingham District Court.

About David Skill

Dave Skill’s radio career began in the fall of 1964 when he arrived on the campus of Holy Cross College in Worcester, MA. Dave barely got his bags unpacked when he paid a visit to WCHC, the campus radio station. And, before he knew it, he was spending so much time as a disc jockey and news writer/reporter, it seemed like he was majoring in “radio” and minoring in academics at “The Cross”. As you might imagine, his grades reflected it! During his junior and senior years, he also worked weekends in news and as a disc jockey at WNEB, the CBS radio affiliate in Worcester at the time.
