Weymouth: Voters at annual election to decide councilor and School Committee races

Voters will decide three contested races in today’s Weymouth annual election.

Seven residents are running for five at-large town council seats.

Five of those running are incumbents: Robert Conlon, Jane Hackett, Brian McDonald, Michael Molisse and Patrick O’Connor.

They are being challenged by political newcomers Christopher Heffernan, and Christopher Primiano.

Two candidates are vying for District 1 Town Councilor: Becky Haugh and Angel Montanez, Junior.

For 3 seats on the Weymouth School Committee, incumbents Lisa Belmarsh and Diana Flemer are running, along with Jared Berman, a college student, and Kathleen Curran, who is Treasurer and past chair of the Town Wide Parent Council and co-chair of the Weymouth High School Parent Council.

Polls are open in Weymouth from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
