Brockton: Car hits multi-family home

Everyone was a little shaken up but OK after a car hit a multi-family home in Brockton.

The driver, identified as Tawana Bourne of Brockton, says a man ran in front of her car and she struck the house at 779 Montello St. while swerving to avoid him around 6:30 a.m. Saturday.

The Red Cross put up nine adults and a child at a hotel Saturday night.

At last check the home was still uninhabitable, with the owners of the triple-decker saying the vehicle damaged the electrical system.

Two people in the home reportedly suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
