Cohasset: Officials name new town manager

Cohasset selectmen have come to an agreement – unanimously voting during paper ballot to name Christopher Senior of North Hampstead, New York as Cohasset’s new town manager.

Selectman Chair Fred Koed told WATD’s John Penny why the board believes Senior is the best candidate for the job.

“I think that overall he just impressed everybody through the two interviews that we gave everybody and I’ve had nothing but good words from the townspeople about the selection. Incidently, we had a process where the town employees could tell us what they thought about the candidates. They would have an hour session, where they were present and they could get to talk to them and ask them questions. I think he, of all the candidates, had the most positive responses and maybe just one person said they weren’t clear whether he would be the best one. So it was a consensus among the town employees also, that he was the best candidate.”

Selectmen will be negotiating the terms of the new town manager’s contract, within the next few weeks.
