Wareham: Man struck, killed by train

Police have identified the man they say was struck and killed by a train in Wareham Sunday night.

When officers responded to the scene Sunday night, they say they found 47-year-old Sylvester Hall of Wareham under the front of a Massachusetts Coastal Railroad passenger train.

Police say the train had been traveling westbound at a slow rate of speed at the time of the incident and was not carrying any passengers.

They say the man was lying in the middle of the railroad tracks when he was hit.

His name was not immediately released.
