Marshfield: Fire sends one to hospital, officials investigating cause

A fire in the Fieldston/Rexhame section of Marshfield that sent one person to the hospital Tuesday afternoon is under investigation.

Marshfield Fire Chief Kevin Robinson said they got the call just before 2 p.m. Tuesday for a fire at 32 Olympia Road in a detached guesthouse.

Chief Robinson said the fire alarm system in the detached structure is connected to the main house, and the occupants of the house called the fire department.

The fire was quickly put out, and one victim was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

The Marshfield Police Department, Marshfield Fire Department and the State Fire Marshal’s Office are investigating the fire.
