Marshfield: Firefighters honored for saving fellow firefighter

Four Marshfield firefighters were recognized at the selectmen’s meeting Tuesday night, for their part in the rescue of a fellow firefighter during a mutual aid call in Scituate in November 2012.

Captain Anthony Boccuzzo, Firefighter John Taylor, Firefighter Paramedic Tobin Willliams and Lt. Craig Robinson were honored for their bravery and heroism during the rescue of one of their own – Lt. Joe Kalinowski, who was trapped in debris when the roof collapsed at 326 Central Ave in Humarock, as the building was engulfed in flames, along with two other adjacent buildings.

The four will also be honored by Governor Patrick at a ceremony in Cambridge, December 19.
