Marshfield: Officials name new town finance director

After interviewing 3 finalists Monday night, Marshfield Selectmen unanimously voted to name Marcia Bohinc, currently the town accountant in Hull, as the Marshfield’s new finance director.

Selectmen Chair Steve Robbins said, “After a lengthy discussion and lengthy interview process, we’ve decided to offer the job to Marcia Bohinc. Marcia is currently employed in the town of Hull and has been town accountant there for about 8 years and has been with the town for 10 years. We thought that her qualities are something that would work well here in the town of Marshfield. We tried, number one, to grasp our finances and keep them going the way them going the way they should be. Not only that but customer service is very important to us and it did seem that it was one of her strengths.”

Bohinc was selected from a large pool of 38 prospective candidates and she replaces Nancy Holt, who has taken a job as Scituate’s town accountant.
