Pembroke: Local man charged in high speed chase

A young South Shore man is in hot water after he apparently led authorities in hot pursuit up Rte. 3 north early Sunday morning.

State police spokesman Dave Procopio told WATD that the driver refused to pull over and crashed his car on the ramp to Rte. 139 in Pembroke, ending a chase that reached speeds topping 100 miles per hour.

The driver, 23-year-old Travis Perrault of Pembroke, is charged with drunk-driving, driving to endanger, failure to stop for police, speeding, and other violations.

Perrault is due to appear in court on Monday.
