Quincy: YMCA opening delayed again

It’s going to be a little longer before the new YMCA in Quincy opens its doors.

It’s now slated for December 23.

This is the second time the opening of the $30 million facility is being delayed.

It was initially set for the end of October but was moved to December 2.

YMCA officials say power installation problems delayed the overall construction of the building.

The old building was closed in September after a burst water pipe damaged the electrical system.
