Two men are under arrest following a home invasion around 7:00 p.m. Sunday in Carver.

Carver Police received a 911 call from a home on Holmes Street reporting a home invasion had just occurred.

When an officer responded to the scene, he found that at least two men had been involved and had fled in different directions in different vehicles.

Police say the two men entered the home looking for a particular man, who they allegedly assaulted and threatened to kill and to kill everyone in the house, as well. In addition, they punched a woman, who was in the home, in the face.

The incident was apparently in retaliation of a previous fight between the man and the suspects that may have had to do with the sale of illegal narcotics.

51 year-old Scott Foster of Carver and 39 year-old Matthew Cohen of Plymouth are charged with Home Invasion, Conspiracy to commit Home Invasion, Assault and Battery, Armed Assault in a dwelling and threats to commit a crime to wit Murder.

Search warrants were obtained for Foster’s home, his truck and Cohen’s car and police found what they described as a significant amount cocaine packaged for sale and several unsecured firearms. As a result, Foster is also charged with Possession of a class B substance (Cocaine) with intent to distribute and Improper storage of a firearm.

Both men were held without bail pending their arraignment in the Wareham District Court.

About David Skill

Dave Skill’s radio career began in the fall of 1964 when he arrived on the campus of Holy Cross College in Worcester, MA. Dave barely got his bags unpacked when he paid a visit to WCHC, the campus radio station. And, before he knew it, he was spending so much time as a disc jockey and news writer/reporter, it seemed like he was majoring in “radio” and minoring in academics at “The Cross”. As you might imagine, his grades reflected it! During his junior and senior years, he also worked weekends in news and as a disc jockey at WNEB, the CBS radio affiliate in Worcester at the time.
