At November’s Special Town Meeting, Pembroke voters approved an $11 million dollar debt exclusion to fund the repair of the roofs of four of the town’s schools.

Tomorrow, the town is holding a Special Election asking voters to exempt from the provisions of Proposition 2-1/2, the funds needed to pay for the bonds issued to complete the roof replacement projects at the North Pembroke Elementary School, the Hobomock Elementary School, the Pembroke Community Middle School and Pembroke High School.

The town is expected to receive more than 50 percent reimbursement from the state for the project.

Polls will be open from 9 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Saturday at the town’s regular polling locations.

About David Skill

Dave Skill’s radio career began in the fall of 1964 when he arrived on the campus of Holy Cross College in Worcester, MA. Dave barely got his bags unpacked when he paid a visit to WCHC, the campus radio station. And, before he knew it, he was spending so much time as a disc jockey and news writer/reporter, it seemed like he was majoring in “radio” and minoring in academics at “The Cross”. As you might imagine, his grades reflected it! During his junior and senior years, he also worked weekends in news and as a disc jockey at WNEB, the CBS radio affiliate in Worcester at the time.
