Carver: Mannequin head spooks real estate appraiser

What may have been someone’s idea of a joke gave one real estate appraiser a bit of a start on Tuesday.

Police received a report that a real estate appraiser had entered a Carver residence on Callow Street and saw what they thought was either a dead body or someone “sleeping” in a bed.

But it turns out it was neither. When police arrived at the residence they saw that it was the head of a mannequin with some pillows, arranged to appear that someone had been sleeping in a bed.

Police cleared the scene. It is not clear what happened to the mannequin head.
