Weymouth: Man stabbed in domestic disturbance

A man was arrested in Weymouth Wednesday afternoon allegedly stabbing his uncle.

Weymouth Police responded to a call at 183 White Street, around 12:45 p.m., with a man reporting that his nephew, Matthew Mikkanen, had allegedly stabbed him.

Mikkanan had fled the home and ran into ‘Southfield”.

Weymouth Police say this incident was a domestic disturbance, and that the 20-year-old Mikkanen will be charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

The 41-year-old victim was taken to South Shore Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Mkkanan as was also treated at South Shore Hospital with a minor hand laceration.
