South Shore: Get to know 9th Congressional Republican candidate John Chapman

Republican 9th Congressional candidate John Chapman introduced himself as a “Scott Brown Republican” in an interview with WATD’s Christine James. He says Obamacare is the issue that got him “off the couch and into the race.”

Chapman, after law school, became an enforcement lawyer with the Securities and Exchange Commission. He also served as an agency head under Governor Mitt Romney.

Chapman is one of four Republicans who have declaredtheir candidacy for the 9th Congressional Seat currently held by Rep. Bill Keating.

Claiming he shares similar ideologies with former Massachusetts Senator Scott Brown, Chapman labeled himself as a fiscal conservative and a social moderate.
