Brockton: Abington man nailed for murder

A young Abington man is found guilty of second-degree murder in the death of a Brockton father of five.

25-yaer-old Delaneau Pierre faces a mandatory life sentence with the possibility of parole in 15 years.

He shot John Gray in 2011 as the victim was sitting in a car on Harvard St. in Brockton.

In court Gray’s brother testified that he, his brother and a friend were sitting in a driveway, waiting to meet Pierre for a “transaction.”

Gray says Pierre pointed a gun at his brother’s head and demanded money.

Gray began to drive away and Pierre pulled the trigger.
