Hanson: Town Meeting to vote on medical marijuana and water tank rehabilitation

Tonight is Hanson Town Meeting.

The Annual Town Meeting warrant has 25 articles.

Article 8 is a request that the town vote to adopt the Capital Improvement Program as presented by the Capital Improvement Committee and appropriate $433,000 for a number of items including $228,000 for a new ambulance for the Fire Department and $40,000 for painting and restoration work at Town Hall.

Article 14 asks for $1,100,000 for cleaning and rehabilitating the water tank on High Street.

Article 24 is a zoning bylaw change concerning special requirements for medical marijuana facilities in town.

The Special Town Meeting warrant has 19 articles, many of them money transfers.

Hanson Town Meeting gets underway at 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium of the Middle School.
